I agree with this subject's importance. What aside from the book are your sources?

I think thats extremely important. Its of relavence to our class and civil rights as awhole, but its also showing Farmers pioneering efforts in civil rights. How do you plan on gettting any outside sources on them. Old Chicago newspaper articles?

Very insightful and an angle of racism that needed to be analyzed. Rather than attacking others, we should improve our own mentalities. It will also aid us because, as it is said, "Know Thy Enemy." How are you going to research this?

That's a very good idea. I'm sick of people not knowing who James Farmer was.

Have you made any progress on this? The topic is really unique, and I think that it could turn into something good, provided that you have enough information. Good idea--keep going!

Good thing they didn't know about copyrights. You've obviously put a lot of time into your project. The holiday thing is especially cool.

I think this is an excellent idea and would be an extremely effective long-term project. However, it seems like it would take a good deal of time, persistence, and effort to actually achieve this monumentous goal.

Your topic sounds very interesting. Have you found enough resources to answer your questions? Are there any newspaper articles from the Chicago newspapers and/or any other newspapers from other cities where they occurred?

This is a different view of James Farmer, and I like the way it will take you. We don't see this view of him, and I agree that this is soemthing that people need to hear about. Nixon was a very inspired president, and with him getting Mr. Farmer to work for him is a huge step for the black society. I hope it all works out.
