James Farmer & the Great Debaters

Richard Gallant, originally from Monroe, Connecticut, is a Freshman at the University of Mary Washington. Rich is planning to major in Marketing and to attend graduate school to get his masters in business. He is a member of an intramural flag football team, and basketball team. In high school, Rich played basketball and was also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America. Rich enrolled in the James Farmer first year seminar to learn more about the lost hero of the civil rights, James Farmer, and was also interested in the idea of being in a first year project developed by the University called the Brompton Seminars.
